Puppy Basics
The Puppy Basics course is designed for puppy’s under 10 months old. In this 4 week course your puppy will learn skills including: Sit, Down, Leave it, Come, Loose Leash Walking, Calm Greetings, No Jumping, Go to Bed, Recall, Stay, and More!
Along with teaching your puppy the skills they’ll need to be a great member of the family, we also cover other puppyhood needs like Potty Training, Nipping, Barking, Crate Training, Socialization, Appropriate Play with humans and other dogs, and more!
This course includes one in home, hour long private lesson a week. In addition to your private lessons you will receive instructional videos and written instructions. Each week I will email you with a recap of what we went over in our lesson and what your homework for the week is.

Adult obedience
The Adult Obedience obedience course is designed for dogs over the age of 10 months old. This 4 week course covers the same behaviors as the Puppy Basics including: Sit, Down, Leave it, Come, Loose Leash Walking, Calm Greetings, No Jumping, Go to Bed, Recall, Stay, and More!
In addition to covering all these basics, we will also cover any problem behaviors you’ve encountered and how to manage them like Severe Leash Pulling, Reactivity, Counter Conditioning, Reconditioning from Fear, and Off Leash Walking.
This course includes one in home, hour long private lesson a week. In addition to your private lessons you will receive instructional videos and written instructions. Each week I will email you with a recap of what we went over in our lesson and what your homework for the week is.

Service Dog Task Training and Public Access
One of our missions at Cosmic Dog is to provide low-cost training for working dogs. Training will be provided in-home, at our private location in Moodus, or in a rented room at a training center in Manchester. Each hour long private lesson will be charged at less than 50% of an average hour long session.
Tasks commonly taught to Service Dogs include but are not limited to: Pressing handicap door buttons, Pressing elevator door buttons, Calling 911 by activating an emergency alert system, Blood Sugar alert and shaping, Seizure alert shaping, Cortisol alert and shaping, Pulling open doors/cabinets/fridges, turning on/off lights, Retrieving items by name shoes/phone/keys/glasses, Medication retrieval, Helping to pull socks/jackets/pants off, Picking up dropped items, Nudging fallen arms/legs back onto wheel chair, Nightmare waking, Interrupting self harm or stimming behaviors, Deep Pressure Therapy, Body Block, and many more.

Single Lesson in Home
A single in-home private lesson will last one hour. This lesson can be catered to exactly what your dog needs! We will communicate prior to the lesson to ensure I can maximize the value in the time we have. If I get there and you’ve decided we need to work on something new, that’s fine too! Reactivity Reset
Reactivity Reset Private Lessons are open to dogs of all ages who have undesirable reactions to stimuli. Reactivity Reset is a 4 week course that will include behavioral evaluation to determine why your dog has become reactive and the best course of action to calm their fears. Over the 4 weeks we will guide your dog in making better choices and how to communicate their concerns safely. Common reactivity triggers include but are not limited to: sounds like fireworks, trucks, gunshots, and falling pans. Visuals like children, adults, other dogs, birds, small animals, strollers, cars, and sunglasses. No matter what your dog is reacting to, we can work to build their confidence and calm their fears with games that will have them enjoying life again.

Camp Cosmic Day Training

Camp Cosmic Day Training-
Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays
Day Camp training is open to dogs of all breeds, ages, and skill levels. Day Camp includes one full day of training in our studio, in my home, the surrounding hiking trails, and out on the town. Drop off time for Day Camp are between 7am-10am and pick up times are between 3pm-5pm.
During Day Camp, your dog’s training plan is completely customizable to their needs. Often we will begin in the studio where the environment is predicable and less distracting then move to more distracting environments as your dog can handle it. Does your dog need to work on polite greetings? Do they lung at bikes? Are they too much for you to handle at home?
You will receive video clips and photos of what your dog worked on during their day at Cosmic Dog. Day Camp is also a great way for us to evaluated issues you’re having with your dog but aren’t sure what kind of training they need.
Please note that a minimum of 24 hours notice is required to cancel a day training day. No shows without cancelation will still count as attended and will not be rescheduled or refunded if missed. Please be courteous of others as we have a long waitlist.

Service Dog Task Training OR Public Access
Service Dog Task Training is open to both in-home Service Dogs and Public Access ready Service Dogs. Task training will include one task trained in full under various distractions including other dogs barking, dropped food around them, loud noises nearby, and human intervention. Public Access training is open to Service Dogs who are already well suited for public access. Public access training will perfect focus, loose leash walking, ignoring the public, riding elevators, walking through hospitals, supermarkets, arcades, and maintaining composure under various interruptions. (3 night minimum to book.)
Includes: Clicker, Bait Bag, Busy Toy. One hour Private Lesson when your dog is picked up from camp. Schedule for private lesson can be adjusted. Private lesson may be held in an alternative setting, like a park, if it will best showcase your dogs progress.

Boarding
While boarding with Cosmic Dog your pup will explore enrichment activities with a verity of textures, heights, and sounds, play safely in a secure dig-proof fenced in yard, sun bathe on the back deck, and lounge on the couch between playing with friends. Boarding is available with or without additional training packages. If your dog would prefer a space to themselves away from other dogs, the entire training studio with direct access to the fenced yard can be their private get away while they’re here. Your dog will be supervised at all times, including through the night- something you won’t find at a commercial facility!
Our Boarding schedule fills up extremely fast! Requests for boarding must be requested at minimum 3 weeks in advance from the dates needed.
